Custom Stickers and Decals

Custom stickers and decals from Inline Graphics are printed from your own design and priced online by the square foot. Three materials cover almost every job: die-cut vinyl decals at $32.09 for a 12 by 12 inch decal, see-through perforated window graphics at $96.29 for a 24 by 36 inch storefront pane, and printed wrap vinyl at $64.19 for one 52 by 12 inch foot. Every order gets a free digital proof, production in 48 hours after you approve it, and flat $10 shipping to any US address.

Die-cut vinyl decals are printed on 3M IJ-35C or IJ-180Cv3 film, laminated, and contour cut to the outline of your artwork, for logos, lettering, bumper sticker packs, car door decals, store hours and USDOT numbers. See-through window graphics print on perforated film that reads as a full color image from outside and a tinted window from inside, for rear windows, Jeep Wrangler hardtops, pickup back glass and storefronts. Printed wrap vinyl is cast wrap film with a gloss or matte laminate, sold by the square foot for hoods, tailgates and partial wraps you install yourself.

Pick the page that matches the surface, type the width and height, and the price is on the screen before you upload a file. Each page opens on a stock size, so a Jeep hardtop, a pickup back window or a glass door starts at a measurement that fits, and a custom size is one click away. Not sure which film you need? The comparison table below answers it in one line per material.

Everything is printed in the USA at our San Antonio, Texas shop and shipped nationwide. Decals are printed vinyl cut to shape, not weeded single-color lettering, and the perforated film is single-sided, so keep text large on anything that has to read through the holes.

Frequently Asked Questions

See-through film, die-cut vinyl, wrap panels, Texas rules and install, answered.

Can I upload my own design for a see-through rear window decal, and what does it cost for my size?

Yes. Upload your file on the Custom Rear Window Graphics page, type the width and height of your glass, and the price shows before you check out. A 24 by 48 inch graphic is $117.69, or $139.09 on the laminated film, and a pickup back window at 18 by 58 inches is $117.69. Any size prices the same way, by the square foot. You get a free proof, we print it 48 hours after you approve it, and shipping is a flat $10. The Custom Rear Window Graphics page has the measuring guide and the laminate choice.

Can you actually see out of a perforated rear window decal at night?

Yes, with less clarity than bare glass. Perforated film is a printed sheet full of small holes. In daylight the bright side faces out, so from inside you look through the holes like a tinted window. At night the cabin is darker than the street, so headlights, brake lights and streetlights still come through, but the view is dimmer, about like a dark tint. Keep the design clear of the strip you watch most in the mirror, and lean on your side mirrors as the Texas rule expects. The Custom Rear Window Graphics page explains how one-way vision works.

Is a rear window graphic legal in Texas?

In Texas, yes, with a mirror condition. The Texas Department of Public Safety window tinting standards say side windows behind the driver are exempt, and the rear window has no restriction when the vehicle has an outside mirror on each side that gives a view 200 feet behind it. Most cars, trucks and SUVs have both mirrors, so a full back window graphic is allowed. Other states differ; this isn't legal advice. Read the DPS standards at https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/vehicle-inspection/window-tinting-standards and the Texas note on the Custom Rear Window Graphics page.

Will a perforated decal work on my Jeep's hardtop window, and what about the wiper and defroster?

Yes, on hardtop glass only. The film is not for soft-top windows, which are flexible plastic. The rear hardtop glass has a wiper, so plan a cutout around it, and you may need to lift or remove the wiper arm to lay the film flat. The film goes on the outside of the glass, so the defroster grid on the inside is never touched. The JLU rear glass preset, about 41 by 17.5 inches, is $85.59; measure your glass before you order. The Jeep Wrangler Window Graphics page has the presets and the wiper note.

What's the difference between 50/50 and 70/30 perforated film?

The numbers are the split between printed film and open holes. A 50/50 film is half print and half holes, so it is easier to see out of and the image is a little lighter. A 70/30 film is 70 percent print and 30 percent holes, so the image is bolder from outside and the view from inside is a bit darker. Both work the same way: the eye reads the bright printed side and looks through from the dim side. If the ratio matters for your job, ask us before you order. The Custom Rear Window Graphics page covers how the film behaves day and night.

How do I measure my rear window for a decal?

Measure the glass, not the trim. Run a tape across the widest point of the glass for the width and the tallest point for the height, and round each up to the next half inch. On a curved back window, lay a flexible tape along the glass instead of across the air. Note the wiper and any third brake light so the proof can work around them. Order that size; the film ships as a rectangle and the installer trims the final edge on the glass. The Custom Rear Window Graphics page walks through it step by step.

Will a bible verse decal still be readable through the perforations?

Yes, if the letters are large. Perforated film loses fine detail in the holes, so a verse set in small type turns soft from across a parking lot. Keep the text big and bold, use a strong contrast between the letters and the background, and leave thin script faces for die-cut vinyl. A one-color design such as mountains, pines and three crosses with Psalm 121:1-2 under it prints cleanly when the verse is sized to the glass. We check every verse on the free proof before printing. The Christian and Scripture Decals page shows the sizes that work.

What's the difference between a decal and a sticker?

In day to day use they are the same thing: a printed vinyl graphic with adhesive on the back. People say decal for a graphic cut to the shape of the artwork and meant for a vehicle, a window or a wall, and sticker for a small printed piece such as a bumper sticker or a label. On this site, decals are printed on 3M vinyl, laminated and contour cut to any size, and bumper stickers are the same print on a removable vinyl, sold in packs. The Custom Vinyl Decals page is the base product for every decal.

Do bumper stickers damage paint, and do they come off clean?

Our bumper stickers use a removable adhesive, so they peel off clean without heat or solvent and leave factory paint as they found it. They still hold through rain and car washes. The exception is paint that is already failing: a repaint, clear coat that is peeling or a plastic bumper that was never primed can lift with any sticker. Stickers are sold in packs, about $5.35 each in the default 10-pack. The Custom Bumper Stickers page has the pack sizes, and the removal guide linked above covers the stubborn ones.

How long do vinyl decals last on a car, and can they go through a car wash?

It depends on the film, the laminate and the care. Every decal here ships with a gloss or matte laminate by default, which adds UV and scuff protection over the print, and the 3M IJ-35C and IJ-180Cv3 films are rated for up to 5 years outdoors. Yes, they go through a car wash: give the adhesive a few days to set after installation, then wash normally. Avoid aiming a pressure washer straight at an edge, which is where any decal starts to lift. The Custom Vinyl Decals page explains which film belongs on a flat panel and which on a curve.

Window decal, window cling, or perforated film: which one should I use?

Use a decal for anything that stays up, such as a logo, lettering or store hours: it is adhesive vinyl cut to shape, applied to the outside of the glass. Use window cling for a seasonal promo: it has no adhesive, goes on the inside of the glass, and peels off and reuses. Use perforated film when you want to cover a whole window and still see out of it, on a rear window or a storefront pane. The Glass Door Decals page covers decals, the Storefront Window Graphics page covers perforated film, and the comparison table above lines the four up.

What size do USDOT numbers have to be?

The federal rule, 49 CFR 390.21, sets no fixed letter height. It requires the carrier's legal name or trade name and the USDOT number on both sides of the power unit, in letters that contrast sharply with the background, readable from 50 feet in daylight while the vehicle is stopped. Our stock sizes of 4 by 18, 6 by 24 and 8 by 30 inches are the sizes carriers usually order, and a custom size is one click away. Check your state's rules; not legal advice. The USDOT Number Decals page has a name and number builder and sells the decals as a pair, one for each side.

Can I buy printed wrap vinyl and install it myself, and how much do I need for a hood or tailgate?

Yes. Printed wrap vinyl is print only: we print your design on cast wrap film with a laminate and ship it ready to install. One 52 by 12 inch foot is $64.19, and it is priced by the square foot from there. A 60 by 60 inch hood panel is $299.59, and the 26 by 66 inch universal tailgate is $149.79. Measure the panel at its widest and tallest points, then add 2 inches of bleed on every edge. The Printed Wrap Vinyl page has the file rules, and the Custom Hood Wraps and Custom Tailgate Wraps pages open on those sizes.

What bleed and overlap should my wrap panels have?

Add 2 inches of bleed on every edge of each panel and include the bleed in the size you order. Panels wider than 52 inches are split into two with a 1 inch overlap at the seam, and they ship labeled in order. Send one file per vehicle side, at full scale or at 1:10 with the scale in the file name, in CMYK, with fonts outlined, at 100 to 150 ppi at full size. Lay the overlaps so they shed water like shingles, working back to front. The Printed Wrap Vinyl page has the full file rules box.

How much do custom decals cost per square foot?

Die-cut vinyl runs $13.38 per square foot on 3M IJ-35C for flat surfaces and $18.14 on 3M IJ-180Cv3 for vehicles and curves, with a gloss or matte laminate at +$2.66/sq ft; contour cutting is priced on top of the film rate and a rectangle cut adds nothing. Perforated window film is $13.38 per square foot, or $16.04 laminated. Printed wrap vinyl is $9.62 per square foot plus the laminate. Every line has a floor, so a 12 by 12 inch decal is $32.09 and a 24 by 36 inch decal is $128.39, or $171.19 on IJ-180Cv3. The Custom Vinyl Decals page prices any size as you type it.

How It Works

Pick the lane your job needs

Three material lanes. Die-cut vinyl on 3M IJ-35C or IJ-180Cv3 cast film, cut to the shape of your artwork, for decals, bumper stickers, store hours, door logos and USDOT numbers. Perforated window film for rear windows, Jeep hardtops, pickup back glass and storefront panes: your design outside, a clear view out from inside. Printed wrap vinyl by the square foot for hoods, tailgates and panels you install yourself.
