The film is printed on a perforated material with tiny holes. From outside you see the graphic, while from inside the holes let you see out, since your eyes are drawn through the openings to the brighter exterior.

Does it block the view from inside?

It reduces but does not fully block the outward view. You will see a slightly screened version of the outside, while passersby see your full graphic.

Can I use it on a vehicle?

Yes. It is commonly applied to rear windows so you can advertise without blocking the driver's rear visibility.
