Which Vehicle Decal Do You Need?
Start from the panel, not the product name. A hood or a tailgate is painted metal with curves, so it needs cast wrap vinyl that conforms, which is what the hood and tailgate wraps are printed on. A window needs perforated film, so the driver can still see out. A door that only needs a name and a number needs a cut decal, not a full panel print.
For a work truck, the common set is a pair of car door decals with the logo and phone number, a truck back window graphic for the traffic behind you, and, for a commercial carrier, a pair of USDOT number decals. For a personal truck or Jeep, the hood, the tailgate and the rear glass are where full color art shows best.
How Much Do Vehicle Window Graphics Cost?
See-through window graphics start at $85.59 and are printed on perforated window film: the outside shows the full color art, and the tiny holes let the driver see out. The film is printed and cut to the closest rectangle for your window, then trimmed to the glass on the vehicle, because it is not contour cut to the shape of the glass.
| Window graphic | Perforated film | Laminated perforated film |
|---|---|---|
| Truck back window, 18 x 58 in | $117.69 | $128.39 |
| Rear window, 24 x 48 in | $117.69 | $139.09 |
| Jeep rear hardtop glass, 41 x 17.5 in | $85.59 | $96.29 |
Measure the glass before you order and pick the size that covers it, or type your own width and height. The Jeep graphics are for Wrangler JLU hardtop glass only, not soft-top windows, and the JL rear glass has a wiper, so plan a cutout around it.
How Much Do Hood and Tailgate Wraps Cost?
A 60 x 60 in hood wrap is $299.59 and a 60 x 72 in hood wrap is $353.09, printed on GF 830 AutoMark cast wrap vinyl with a gloss laminate. Both hood sizes are wider than 52 inches, so a hood ships as two panels with a 1 inch overlap, labeled in order and ready to install. The same 60 x 60 in hood is $331.69 on 3M IJ-180Cv3, $331.69 with a matte laminate, or $256.79 with no laminate.
A tailgate wrap in the 26 x 66 in universal size is $149.79 on the same cast vinyl with gloss laminate, $171.19 on 3M IJ-180Cv3, or $128.39 with no laminate. If your tailgate measures differently, type its size on the page. Hood and tailgate wraps take 3 business days after artwork approval.
What Do USDOT Number Decals Need to Show?
Federal rules ask a commercial motor vehicle to show the carrier's legal name or trade name and its USDOT number on both sides of the power unit, in a color that contrasts with the background, readable from 50 feet in daylight. That is why USDOT number decals are sold as a pair, one for each door.
A 6 x 24 in pair is $64.19 on 3M IJ-180Cv3 with a gloss laminate, rectangle cut. A 4 x 18 in pair is $42.79 and an 8 x 30 in pair is $96.29. Contour cutting, which removes the background so only the letters sit on the door, adds a one-time $20 setup fee per design. Type the carrier name and number, and the free proof comes back with the contrast checked before anything prints.
Decals for the Shop, Too
Two of the same vinyl products go on the storefront rather than the truck. Store hours decals are contour cut on 3M IJ-35C with a gloss laminate: the Door Set with a 12 x 18 in hours decal and a matching 12 x 12 in logo decal is $114.88, the 18 x 24 in Door Set is $146.98, and the 12 x 18 in hours decal alone is $62.79. A business hours template is included.
Dual view window film prints a different image on each side of the glass, so a door can say Open to the street and Thank You to the people leaving. A 24 x 36 in panel is $74.89, and sizes run from 12 x 18 in at $32.09 to 48 x 72 in at $246.09.
What We See on Vehicle Decal Proofs
The miss we catch most on window graphics is art that runs into the third brake light or the wiper. A rear window graphic is a rectangle on the proof, but the glass has a brake light at the top, a wiper at the bottom on many SUVs, and curved corners. Before you approve the proof, hold it against your own glass and keep the phone number and the name clear of those spots; we flag art that runs edge to edge on a rear window proof.
On USDOT decals, the miss is contrast: white letters ordered for a white door, or a number set in a thin script. The decal has to read from 50 feet, so we flag a low-contrast color or a thin font on the proof.
How Do You Order Vehicle Decals?
Measure the panel or the glass, open the product page, choose the size and the options, and upload your artwork. Any image works, including ChatGPT or other AI images, Canva files, PDFs and phone photos. AI image to print makes the file print ready for $14.99 per item, and Design it for me builds the layout for $29.99 with two revisions. A free digital proof comes with every order.
Decals and window graphics are produced 48 hours after you approve the proof, and hood and tailgate wraps in 3 business days. Each product ships for a flat $10 to any US address, ready for you or a local installer to apply.

$85.59 for a 14 x 53 in truck back window graphic, $117.69 for 18 x 58 in and $149.79 for 22 x 66 in, on see-through perforated film. Laminated film is available on the same page. Production is 48 hours after artwork approval.
Yes. Rear window, truck back window and Jeep window graphics are printed on perforated film: full color from outside and a clear view out from the driver's seat. Night visibility and rain on the glass reduce the view more than plain glass, so check your state's rules on rear window coverage before you order.
6 x 24 in is the size the page opens on, a pair for $64.19, one decal for each side of the truck. Federal rules ask for the carrier name and USDOT number on both sides of the power unit, in a color that contrasts with the door, readable from 50 feet in daylight. A larger 8 x 30 in pair is $96.29.
$299.59 for a 60 x 60 in hood wrap on GF 830 AutoMark cast wrap vinyl with gloss laminate, and $353.09 for 60 x 72 in. The same 60 x 60 in hood on 3M IJ-180Cv3 is $331.69. Both sizes ship as two labeled panels with a 1 inch overlap, ready to install. Production is 3 business days.
No. Every vehicle decal ships ready for you or a local installer to apply. Window graphics are cut to the nearest rectangle and trimmed to the glass on the vehicle, and hood wraps arrive as two labeled panels. USDOT and store hours decals ship on the vinyl sheet with the cut lines plotted, and transfer tape is not included.
