What should people be able to read from the line?
A food truck menu sign should show readable dish names and prices in a short list. Inline Graphics prints one Standard Signicade A-frame with one single-sided 24 x 36 in adhesive vinyl graphic for $267.49, with flat $10 ground shipping per product.
Check a full-size layout from the back of the expected line: dish names and prices should both be easy to read. Align the names and prices consistently so people can scan each row. A person at the back of a lunch line is choosing, not studying. If either column is hard to read, shorten the list or enlarge the type. A few photos can help, but a photo of every dish can leave too little room for readable words.
Skip the full kitchen list. If the truck sells twelve things, the board can show the six that make up most orders, plus a line that says the rest is at the window. Long descriptions belong in a conversation, not in 24 inches of sign. One clause under a dish is plenty. Two clauses means the price got smaller to make room, and the price is the part that has to win.
Confirm allergen wording with the department that licenses the truck before printing. FDA allergen guidance describes written notification for unpackaged foods in jurisdictions that adopt the 2022 Food Code. It allows several forms of written notification, including menus and placards, rather than prescribing one nationwide menu-sign rule. Health rules differ by city, county, and state. Verify required wording and any claim that a dish is free of an ingredient before approving the art. This is general information, not legal advice.
The A-frame collection is the home for the sidewalk board. The standing menu on the truck body is a different product, covered below. Do not try to make one file serve both. The reading distance is not the same.
Where does each menu sign go?
Put the A-frame at the start of the line, not beside the window where the first customer blocks it. People should know what they want before they reach the person taking the order. A Standard Signicade with one 24 x 36 in graphic is the piece for that spot. If the line can approach from either side, order the frame with two graphics so both faces are printed. Frame dimensions and the 24 x 36 in graphic are spelled out in the A-frame size guide. This page uses that size and does not restate the hardware.
The standing menu can live on the truck as printed wrap vinyl. You order the vinyl by the measured panel, with gloss laminate. Default film is GF 830 AutoMark cast. One 24 x 36 in piece on GF 830 is $85.59. The same size on 3M IJ-180Cv3 is $117.69. One 24 x 24 in GF 830 piece is $64.19. One 36 x 48 in GF 830 piece is $149.79. Files need 2 in of bleed on every edge, and that bleed is part of the size you order. The roll is 52 in wide. A piece wider than that prints as panels with a 1 in overlap. Production is 3 business days after proof approval.
Wrap vinyl is print only. It ships to you or to the installer you hire. Inline Graphics does not install wraps. Do not plan on a shop install visit. Measure the panel with the service window open, because a hatch that covers the menu at service makes the graphic useless for ordering.
A vinyl banner is the third spot: hung beside the window or along the truck when you want a menu you can take down. One 2 x 6 ft single-sided 13 oz banner is $96.29. One 3 x 8 ft single-sided 13 oz banner is $179.00. One 6 x 3 ft single-sided 13 oz banner is $133.00. Banner production is also 3 business days, and banners are not in the rush lane. Order banners from the custom vinyl banner page.
How do limited-time specials get on the board?
Print the special on a replacement graphic and leave the truck's standing menu alone. One single-sided 24 x 36 in Standard Signicade adhesive vinyl replacement, no frame, prints for $74.89. Two of those graphics, one for each frame face, are $96.29. Applicable artwork and shipping are additional. You are replacing a printed face; it is not an erasable chalkboard.
If you want a face you can pull out, use the Deluxe Signicade. One frame with one single-sided 24 x 36 in coroplast insert is $374.49. One replacement insert of that size, no frame, is $85.59; two are $106.99. The Standard and Deluxe comparison is the place to choose between vinyl on the frame and a drop-in insert. Use Deluxe when specials change frequently. Standard can suit a board updated a few times a season: $74.89 is the replacement graphic's print price, with applicable artwork and shipping additional.
Put an end date on the special in the artwork. A special with no last day gets left up after you have stopped cooking it, and the next person in line orders something you cannot make. Plan backward from the next special's start date, allowing proof preparation, 3 business days of production, about 3 business days of transit, and contingency time. A separate replacement order needs its own proof. Shipping is flat $10 per different product in the cart; more graphics of the same product do not add another shipping charge.
A common mistake to avoid is changing the special in marker on top of a printed face. The print is the menu. A handwritten add-on is harder to read from the line and it fights the prices you paid to make large.
What do food truck menu signs cost?
One Standard Signicade frame with one single-sided 24 x 36 in adhesive vinyl graphic prints for $267.49. Shipping is a flat $10 per different product and is not in the table prices. A file or photo is $14.99 per cart line through AI image to print. There is no production setup fee. Design it for me is +$29.99 with two revisions, free when that item is $499 or more. None of the single signs in this table reach $499, so budget the design fee if you want the art built for you. The free proof comes after the order.

Order the wrap size from the measured panel plus bleed, not from a guess at the truck's length. A 24 x 36 in piece is a menu panel. It is not a full side of the vehicle. Wider coverage is a larger defined size on the printed wrap vinyl page, still print only.
When do you send the menu to print?
Signicade frames, replacement graphics, vinyl banners, and wrap vinyl each take 3 business days in production after proof approval. Ground transit is about 3 business days after production, at $10 per product. Those two spans are sequential. A Saturday service that needs a new special should not be approved on Friday morning and expected at the truck that day.
Approve artwork on a weekday before 12 PM Central and production starts the next business day. Artwork approved after noon or on a weekend counts as approved the next business day. The proof itself arrives only after you order. Time you spend correcting a price is before the production clock. Fix the prices, the photos, the truck name, and the special's end date on that proof. A wrong price on a menu sign is the error people will quote back to you at the window.
Printed in the USA, shipped nationwide. If an installer needs the vinyl for an appointment, share the production and approximate transit windows. Allow contingency time and confirm the material is in hand before the installation appointment.
What should the proof show before you approve?
Read the proof at the size it will be, or as close as the screen allows, and check four things. The list is short enough that a price is still large. Only two foods have photos, and those photos are the ones you meant to push. Any allergen line matches what you confirmed with the health rules, or it is absent because you confirmed it was not required. The special, if it is on this file, names its last day.
Then check the boring edges. On wrap vinyl, confirm the ordered size includes 2 in of bleed on every side and that type sits inside the panel you can actually see with the window open. On a banner, confirm you ordered single-sided 13 oz unless you truly need the back, and remember double-sided vinyl is an 18 oz product with its own price, not a toggle on the 13 oz row. On the Signicade, confirm you chose one graphic or two. A one-graphic frame has a plain back. If the line wraps around the board, that plain back is a missed order, and the fix is a second graphic or a later replacement, not a note on the proof.
Keep the truck's phone number or the page where you post the day's stop in one quiet corner, smaller than the prices. The menu sign is for the order. Finding tomorrow's corner is a different job, and it should not crowd the prices that make the line move.

Keep the standing menu on the truck and put the special on the A-frame. One single-sided 24 x 36 in Standard adhesive vinyl replacement, no frame, prints for $74.89. One Deluxe coroplast replacement insert with the same dimensions and print sides, no frame, is $85.59. Applicable artwork and shipping are additional. Put an A-frame at the start of the line so people can choose before they reach the window. Put the standing menu on the truck as printed wrap vinyl, or hang a vinyl banner beside the window. Wrap vinyl is print only and ships to you or your installer.
Use a short list with readable dish names and prices, aligned consistently. Check a full-size layout from the back of the expected line. If it is hard to read, shorten the list or enlarge the type. A few photos can help, but leave enough room for the words.
Confirm with the department that licenses the truck. FDA guidance describes written allergen notification for unpackaged foods in jurisdictions adopting the 2022 Food Code, with several permitted forms of notification. Your jurisdiction determines the applicable requirement; it is not one nationwide menu-sign rule.
Signicade frames, replacement graphics, vinyl banners, and printed wrap vinyl are each 3 business days after proof approval, plus about 3 business days of ground transit. Approve on a weekday before 12 PM Central so production can start the next business day. A correction restarts the clock.
