What Does a 6 ft Table Throw Cost?
A 6 ft custom table throw fits a standard 72 by 30 by 30 inch table. The 3 sided open back is $213.99 and finishes at 126 by 62.25 inches. The 4 sided closed back is $278.19 and finishes at 126 by 83.5 inches. Both are full color dye sublimation on 8.8 oz polyester.
People use four names for the cloth on a booth table: tablecloth, throw, cover, skirt. The product this guide prices is the draped 6 ft throw, the one loose panel that goes over a standard trade show table.
A stretch cover hugs the table. A fitted cover is sewn to the table with boxed corners. Those are different products. The numbers below are only the 6 ft table throw.
| Style | Price | Finished size | Back |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 sided, open back | $213.99 | 126 x 62.25 in | Open, so you can work from behind |
| 4 sided, closed back | $278.19 | 126 x 83.5 in | Closed, so the table reads from every side |
Both fit a 72 by 30 by 30 inch table. That is 6 feet long, 30 inches deep and 30 inches high, the folding table most halls provide. The hem hangs about 2 inches above the floor on that table. The print is full color dye sublimation, seam to seam, on 8.8 oz polyester, with sewn rounded corners. The cover is machine washable. There is no second fabric and no size ladder on this page. The choice is the back.
An 8 ft throw, a 4 ft throw and a round cover are different pages, cut for different tables. Do not order this 6 ft cloth for a longer table and plan to tuck the gap.

Throw, Stretch or Fitted?
Use the words for what the cloth does, then order the product that matches.
A throw drapes. The corners are sewn and rounded, the edges are hemmed, and the cloth hangs. That drape is the booth look this page prices. The choice on a throw is not the fabric. The choice is whether the back is open.
A stretch cover is the tight one. It is cut to hug a standard 6 ft or 8 ft collapsible table, and it uses leg loops so the cloth does not slide. A fitted cover is cut and sewn to one table size, with straight sides and boxed corners, so the table reads as a block instead of a drape. If you need either of those, you are not on the throw page, and the prices above do not apply.
Order the throw when you want the drape, the open or closed back, and the 6 ft trade show table. Order it for the table you will actually stand behind, which is 72 by 30 by 30 inches. A table that is a different depth or a different height is a different fit. This cloth is not cut to stretch over a mismatch.
Should the Back Be Open or Closed?
This is the decision that stalls the order, and it is only about how the table is used.
Open the back when someone sits there, when lanyards and boxes live underneath, or when the table is against a wall. The 3 sided cloth covers the front and both ends. It finishes at 126 by 62.25 inches and costs $213.99. The open back is the workspace. Staff reach stock without lifting a fourth panel, and chairs have a place to sit.
Close the back when the table sits in the middle of a room, on a corner, or anywhere people walk all the way around it. The 4 sided cloth finishes at 126 by 83.5 inches and costs $278.19. The extra $64.20 is the fourth panel, not a better fabric. Both are the same 8.8 oz polyester, the same dye sublimation, the same hem.
A registration table with two people sitting behind it is open back. A product demo in the center of an aisle, where the back of the table is another aisle, is closed back. A sponsor table pushed against a pipe and drape is open back, because the drape is already the fourth wall. If you close that back, the people working the table are outside their own booth.
The front panel is the same job on both. Do not pay for the fourth side in order to get a better front. The front is printed either way.
How Do You Design the Front of a Table Throw?
The front is a billboard at waist height. People read it while they walk, not while they stand still with a brochure.
Keep the logo and one line in the middle band of the front face. The top of the cloth slides under laptops, bowls and brochure stands. The bottom disappears behind chair legs. The useful band is the middle. A name centered there is the name in the photo. A name in the bottom six inches is a name behind the first chair.
Skip a phone number in small type. It does not get read from the aisle, and the space is better spent on the name. If the booth needs a number, put it on a card on the table, large enough to pick up. The throw is for the name and one line.
On a throw, the corners are rounded and the cloth hangs. Keep type on the flat front, not wrapping into a corner where a fold will cross it. The ends of a 3 sided throw are visible from the side aisle. A short word can live there. A paragraph cannot. The top of the cloth, the part that lies on the table, is where cups and laptops go. Do not put the only logo on the top and leave the front blank. From the aisle, the front is the face.
Full color, seam to seam, means the print can run to the hem. It does not mean it should. A busy all-over pattern plus a logo plus a list of services is three designs fighting on one panel. Pick the name. Let the color support it.
You see a free proof before anything prints. Look at the proof and mark the middle band. If the logo sits in the top quarter or the bottom quarter, move it before you approve.
Where a 6 ft Throw Gets Used
Convention and expo booths are the job the size was cut for. The hall sets out 72 by 30 by 30 inch tables, and this cloth fits that table.
Sponsor and vendor tables at a conference use it the same way. The open back is usual, because the sponsor sits behind the table with a box of handouts underneath. A fundraiser or gala check-in is the same shape: staff on the open side, the name on the front, guests walking up to the closed faces.
Retail and product demo tables use the closed back when shoppers circle the table, and the open back when the demo is against a wall. Job fairs and career expos are almost always open back. Two people, a stack of cards, and a bin of shirts live behind the cloth.
The throw packs, washes and comes out again. The 8.8 oz polyester is machine washable, which is the point after a coffee urn, a plate of samples or a day of hands on the front hem. Wash it, dry it, fold it. The dye sublimation is in the fibers, not a film you can scratch off with a badge.
A back wall, a retractable stand or a flag at the corner of the booth is a separate order. The throw does not print the wall. If the booth is a table plus a backdrop, price the throw here and the stand on its own page.
What We See on Table Throw Proofs
- A 6 ft throw ordered for an 8 ft table, or the reverse. The page is cut for 72 by 30 by 30 inches. A longer table needs a different cover.
- The only logo placed in the bottom six inches, then hidden by the first chair.
- The only logo placed on the top of the cloth, under the laptop, with a blank front facing the aisle.
- Four sided ordered for a staffed registration table. The closed back blocks the people who are supposed to sit there.
- Three sided ordered for a table in the middle of the room. The open back shows the bins.
- Expecting the throw to look like a stretch cover. It drapes. That is the product.
- Type run into the rounded corner, then crossed by a fold the moment the cloth is on the table.
