How Much Does a 3 x 6 ft Vinyl Banner Cost?
A 3 x 6 ft single-sided 13 oz Custom Printed Banner is $133.00, hems and grommets included. The same size is $149.79 in 15 oz Premium and $171.19 in 18 oz Heavy Duty. Printed in the USA in 3 business days after artwork approval and shipped nationwide, flat $10 shipping to any US address.
That 18 square foot banner is the size most storefront and event orders land on, and it is the size the custom vinyl banner page opens on. The price covers the print, a folded and stitched hem on every edge, metal grommets, and a free digital proof with every order before anything prints. To have your own image made print ready, AI image to print is $14.99 once per item.
The figures below are for one banner with every option at its default: single sided, grommets on, hems on, no pole pockets, no wind slits, no rush. Change one of those and the price moves by the amount shown.
| 3 x 6 ft banner | Price |
|---|---|
| 13 oz Standard, single sided | $133.00 |
| 15 oz Premium, single sided | $149.79 |
| 18 oz Heavy Duty, single sided | $171.19 |
| 18 oz Heavy Duty, double sided | $278.19 |
| 13 oz with wind slits | $154.40 |
| 13 oz with a top pole pocket (grommets removed) | $175.80 |
| 13 oz with rush service | $199.50 |
Two 3 x 6 banners in 13 oz are $266.00, which is two times $133.00. The banner price does not drop at two, so order the count you will hang rather than a spare.

What Is Included in the 3 x 6 Banner Price?
The $133.00 covers full color printing on one side, hems, grommets, and the proof. Hems are the folded, stitched edges that keep the banner from fraying and give the grommets something solid to bite into. Grommets are the metal rings you tie, hook or bungee through. Both are on by default and neither one adds money.
Wind slits, pole pockets and rush service are paid options, covered below. Design help is the other thing that can add to the price. Send any file, from Canva, a PDF or a phone photo, through AI image to print and we make it print ready for $14.99 once per item. If you want a banner designed from scratch, Design it for me is $29.99 and includes two revisions, and it is free when the banner is $499 or more.
Shipping is a flat $10 per order to any US address, on top of the banner price.
Is 3 x 6 or 6 x 3 the Right Way to Order?
Both are the same banner at the same price, because the price is set by area and 3 x 6 and 6 x 3 are both 18 square feet. A 6 ft wide by 3 ft tall banner and a 3 ft wide by 6 ft tall banner each come to $133.00 in 13 oz.
What changes is the layout. Almost every storefront and event banner hangs wide, 6 ft across and 3 ft tall, because that shape fits above a door, along a railing or across the front of a tent table. A tall 3 x 6 is rarer and suits a narrow wall beside an entrance. Enter the width first and the height second on the product page so the proof comes back the way you will hang it.
How Much Do 13 oz, 15 oz and 18 oz Banners Cost?
A 3 x 6 is $133.00 in 13 oz Standard, $149.79 in 15 oz Premium and $171.19 in 18 oz Heavy Duty. The three weights are the same print on heavier and heavier vinyl.
13 oz Standard is the one most people should buy. It is durable, weather resistant and UV safe, and it is the right weight for a grand opening, a sale, a season of games or a festival booth. 15 oz Premium is thicker, for a banner that will stay up a long time outdoors. 18 oz Heavy Duty is the thickest vinyl we print, built for heavy outdoor use, and it is the only weight that prints on both sides.
If the banner goes up for a weekend or a month, 13 oz is the weight to buy. 15 oz Premium is the step up for a long-term outdoor display, and 18 oz Heavy Duty is the one built for heavy outdoor use.
How Much Is a Double-Sided 3 x 6 Banner?
A double-sided 3 x 6 is $278.19, and it prints on 18 oz Heavy Duty only. The single-sided 18 oz banner is $171.19, so the second side costs more than the first on this size.
Double sided earns its price only when people see both faces: a banner hung from a railing in a walkway, a banner on a pole in the middle of a lot, or one suspended from a ceiling between two aisles. A banner against a wall or a fence shows one face, so pay for one. Our single versus double-sided banner guide walks through the cases.
What Do Wind Slits, Pole Pockets and Rush Add?
Wind slits add $15.99, a top pole pocket adds $31.99 on a 3 x 6, and rush service adds 50 percent of the banner price. On a 13 oz 3 x 6 that is $154.40 with wind slits, $175.80 with a top pole pocket and $199.50 with rush.
Wind slits are cuts in the vinyl that let some air through. They help a banner on an exposed fence, but a banner that will live on a fence is usually better ordered as a mesh banner, which is woven to let wind pass and is $154.00 in the same 6 x 3 size.
Pole pockets are a fabric sleeve sewn along an edge so a pole slides through. They are priced by the width of the banner and require the grommets to be removed, so on the product page you turn grommets off first and then choose Top, Bottom or Both. A pocket on both edges costs more than one.
Rush is charged on the banner and never on the finishing add-ons. Design Under Deadline covers last minute file changes. Print-Ready is for approved artwork that only needs a faster turnaround.
How Does a 3 x 6 Compare With Nearby Banner Sizes?
In 13 oz single sided, a 2 x 4 is $66.00, a 3 x 4 is $96.29, a 3 x 5 is $113.00, a 3 x 6 is $133.00, a 3 x 8 is $179.00 and a 4 x 8 is $229.00. The price climbs with area, and the steps between the common sizes are small enough that the right size is the one that fits the space, not the one that saves a few dollars.
Measure the wall, railing or tent before you pick. A 3 x 6 above a single door is generous. A 3 x 6 across the front of a 10 ft tent reads a little short, and a 2 x 8 or 3 x 8 fills that run better. For a chain link fence or the side of a building, the 4 x 8 banner is the size we would point you to.
What We See on Proofs for Storefront and Event Banners
The file mistake we catch most on this size is a banner designed on a 16:9 screen canvas. A 1920 x 1080 pixel Canva page is a widescreen television shape. A 3 x 6 banner is a 2:1 shape, noticeably wider for its height. When that 16:9 file comes in, either the sides get cropped or the whole design gets stretched 12 percent, and a stretched logo is the first thing a customer notices in the parking lot.
The fix takes ten seconds: set the canvas to 72 x 36 inches, or 6 x 3 ft, before you place a single element. Keep every word at least 2 inches inside the edge so the hem and the grommets never land on a letter. And give the phone number real height. On a banner read from the street, a 3 inch tall number is the smallest we would send.
The second thing we see is text in the corners. Grommets sit in each corner and along the edges, and a corner grommet punched through the last digit of a phone number is not a proof we will approve without asking first.
How to Order a 3 x 6 Banner
Open the custom vinyl banner page, enter 6 ft wide by 3 ft tall or the other way around, and leave the material on 13 oz unless the banner is a long-term outdoor display, which is what 15 oz Premium is for. Leave grommets and hems on. Add wind slits only for an exposed spot, and skip them in favor of mesh if the banner lives on a fence.
Send your image through AI image to print for $14.99 once per item, or ask for Design it for me, then watch for the proof. Check the spelling, the phone number and the date on the proof as if it were already printed, because that is the step where corrections are free. Approve it, and production starts the 3 business day clock. Shipping is a flat $10 to any US address on top of the $133.00 banner.
Frequently Asked Questions
A 3 x 6 ft single-sided 13 oz vinyl banner is $133.00, with hems and grommets included. The same size is $149.79 in 15 oz Premium and $171.19 in 18 oz Heavy Duty. Production is 3 business days after artwork approval and shipping is a flat $10 to any US address.
Yes. A 6 ft wide by 3 ft tall banner and a 3 ft wide by 6 ft tall banner are both 18 square feet and both price at $133.00 in 13 oz. Enter the width first and the height second on the product page so the proof comes back in the orientation you will hang.
A double-sided 3 x 6 ft banner is $278.19, and it prints on 18 oz Heavy Duty vinyl, the only weight we print on both sides. The single-sided 18 oz version is $171.19. Choose double sided only when people will see both faces, such as a banner hung from a railing in a walkway.
Yes. Hems and grommets are included by default, and the $133.00 price for a 3 x 6 already covers them. Turning grommets off does not lower the price. Wind slits, pole pockets and rush service are the paid options, and pole pockets require the grommets to be removed.
Wind slits add $15.99, so a 3 x 6 ft 13 oz banner with wind slits is $154.40. They are cuts in the vinyl that reduce wind resistance. If the banner is going on a fence or an open lot, compare that figure with a mesh banner of the same size before you decide.
Production takes 3 business days after digital proof approval, and the proof is free with every order. Shipping follows production at a flat $10 to any US address. Rush service is available at 50 percent of the banner price, which makes a 3 x 6 ft 13 oz banner $199.50, and it never charges rush on the finishing add-ons.
