Frequently asked questions about Custom Posters
The most common standard poster sizes in the United States are 11x17, 18x24 and 24x36. On this page the 16pt gloss stock runs 12x18, 14x11, 16x12 and 17x11, plus oversized 18x28 and 20x16. For 18x24, 24x36, 27x40 and 36x48, order our large format posters.
Yes, on the large format poster page. A 24x36 prints on satin poster paper, one per sheet, starting at $64.19 for a single poster. This 16pt gloss page tops out at 18x28.
Every poster on this page prints full color on 16pt gloss stock, the same premium stock we print business cards and flyers on. Large format posters print on satin photo poster paper instead, which holds a big image better at a distance.
Yes. Packs run from 10 up to 250 posters and the price per poster drops at every rung: 10 of a standard size is $74.89, and 250 is $545.69. Order more than 250 and we quote it by hand.
Packs of 10, 25, 50, 100 or 250 on this page. Large format posters start at a single poster, so there is no minimum pack if you only need one.
Most poster orders are produced in about 48 hours after you approve your free digital proof, then ship for a flat $10 ground to any US address.
Multiply each dimension in inches by 300. A 12x18 poster is 3600x5400 pixels, an 18x24 is 5400x7200 and a 24x36 is 7200x10800. Build the file at the bleed size, 0.125 inch past the trim on every side.
Not through this page, which prices the six stock sizes outright. Send the dimensions through custom orders and we will quote the size you need.

Custom Posters, Printed to Order
Custom posters on 16pt gloss stock for storefronts, events, and trade shows, printed in the USA and shipped to all 50 states. Choose a standard size up to 17x11, or go oversized at 18x28 or 20x16 when you need maximum visibility from across the room. For 18x24, 24x36, 27x40 and 36x48, order large format posters instead.
Which Poster Size Do I Need
Poster size is a distance decision. 12x18 and 17x11 are close-read sizes for a counter, a window or a corkboard, where somebody is already standing still. 16x12 and 20x16 are the middle of the range, large enough to hold a photo and a headline across a lobby. 18x28 is the biggest cut on this stock and the one that reads from across a room. The rule of thumb is one inch of capital letter height per ten feet of viewing distance, so run that math before you design. For 18x24, 24x36, 27x40 and 36x48, order large format posters instead.
