Ordering a sign online takes five steps: choose the product, pick the size and options, send your file, approve the free digital proof, and wait for production and ground shipping. You see the full price on the product page before you upload anything, and nothing prints until you approve the proof.

The two products most first time buyers start with are a coroplast yard sign and a vinyl banner. An 18 x 24 inch yard sign is $64.99 and prints the next business day after approval. A 6' × 3' 13oz Standard Custom Printed Banner is $133. Artwork prep is $14.99 per item. Printed in the USA in 3 business days and shipped nationwide, flat $10 shipping to any US address. What Should You Know Before You Shop?

Know three things before you open a product page: where the sign will stand or hang, how far away people will read it, and the date you need it in hand. Those three answers choose the product, the size and the production time for you.

Measure the space. A banner for a 10 foot wide storefront and a banner for a 4 foot wide fence panel are different orders. Write down the width and height in inches or feet, and note how it will attach: stakes in grass, zip ties through grommets, screws into a wall or a stand on the floor.

Then write the message in as few words as you can. A sign read from a passing car has room for a name, one offer and a phone number. A sign read from 6 feet away at a table can carry more. If the reader is moving, cut words until the important line is large.

Should You Order a Yard Sign or a Banner?

Order a yard sign when the sign stands in the ground and order a banner when it hangs from a fence, wall or railing. A yard sign is a rigid 4 mm coroplast panel that slides onto a wire H-stake. A banner is flexible vinyl with grommets, so it is zip tied or roped to something that holds it up.

A small landscaping company, Greenpeak Lawn Care, is a typical first order. It needs ten yard signs to stake at finished jobs and one 6 x 3 ft banner for its shop fence. The yard signs ship the next business day after approval, the banner 3 business days after approval, and each product ships for a flat $10.

How Do You Read the Product Options?

Read the options from the top down and watch the total change as you go. Every product page opens on a standard setup and shows the price before you add anything, so the first number you see is a real order.

  • Size. Pick a listed size or type your own width and height where the page allows it.
  • Material. Banners come in 13 oz, 15 oz and 18 oz vinyl. The 15 oz is thicker for long term outdoor displays, and the 18 oz is the heaviest and the only one printed on both sides.
  • Sides. Single sided prints one face. Double sided prints both, for signs read from two directions.
  • Quantity. On yard signs the price per sign drops as the count rises.
  • Add-ons. Stakes for yard signs, grommets and pole pockets for banners, holes and rounded corners for aluminum signs.

If an option is not clear, leave it on the default. The defaults are a safe starting point, and the proof shows exactly what you ordered before anything prints.

What Files Can You Send for a Sign?

You can send almost any file: a PDF, an AI, EPS or SVG vector file, a PNG or JPG, a Canva export or link, a ChatGPT image or a phone photo. AI image to print makes any of them print ready for $14.99 per item. We set the size, add bleed, fix the resolution and color, and send the result as your proof.

If you build the file yourself, set it up at the finished size plus 0.25 inch of bleed on every side, the same as our sign templates. An 18 x 24 inch yard sign file is 18.5 x 24.5 inches. Run any background color or photo out to that outer edge, and keep words and logos about 0.5 inch inside the trim line, the safe area shown in blue on the diagram. Leave the bottom 2 inches of a yard sign clear, because that is where the stake enters and grass grows.

Resolution matters more on signs than on screens. A logo copied from a website is often a few hundred pixels wide and prints soft at 2 feet. A vector logo prints sharp at any size. If the only logo you have is small, send it anyway and say so; it gets checked before the proof.

What Should You Check on a Digital Proof?

Check every word, number and date on the proof as if you were reading the finished sign, because the proof is exactly what prints. Approving it starts production, and a change after approval means a new proof and a new production start.

  1. Phone number and website, digit by digit. Read them out loud.
  2. Spelling of every name. Business name, street, event title.
  3. Dates and times. Day of the week matches the date.
  4. Size and orientation. The proof states the finished size. A landscape sign should look wide.
  5. Sides. A double-sided order shows both faces.
  6. Nothing important near the edge. Text inside the safe area, nothing hidden behind a stake or grommet.

If something is wrong, reply with the change and a new proof comes back. If everything is right, approve it the same day so the production clock starts.

How Do Production and Shipping Work?

Production starts when you approve the proof and is counted in business days. Coroplast yard signs print the next business day, vinyl banners and rigid signs in 3 business days, and every product page states its own time. When production finishes, the order ships by tracked ground service for a flat $10 per product to any US address.

Each product page shows its arrival window before you add the item to the cart, so check it against your date first. Our guide to custom sign shipping time lists the production time for every product family and how to count back from an event date.

How Do You Place Your First Order?

Open the product page, pick the size and options, add the item to the cart and check out. Upload your file at the artwork step of the product page, or send any image through AI image to print, approve the free digital proof, and track the package once it ships.

For a first sign in the ground, start with the 18 x 24 inch standard yard sign. For a fence or storefront, start with a custom vinyl banner. Not sure which yard sign size reads best from the street? The yard sign size guide draws all four sizes to scale.
