What should food truck graphics communicate first?
Food truck graphics should identify the business on both sides and make the menu readable from the line. Inline Graphics prints one single-sided 24 x 24 in GF 830 cast wrap vinyl piece with gloss laminate for $64.19, before artwork preparation and flat $10 ground shipping per product. Print only: vinyl ships to you or your installer.
Build the layout around three reading distances: a recognizable identity from the approach, a menu from the waiting line, and ordering details at the window. Those messages need different amounts of space. Giving them all the same type size makes the truck harder to understand.
Put the business name and logo prominently on both sides. Add a short food description when the name alone does not identify the menu. Keep the large identity separate from the detailed menu so a person walking toward the truck can recognize the business before reading individual dishes.
The stickers and decals collection covers several printed graphic formats. For food truck body panels, this guide focuses on cast wrap vinyl ordered by size. Plan the coverage around your actual truck rather than starting with a generic vehicle outline.

Where should each food truck sign go?
Place each message where the person who needs it can see it before making the relevant decision.
- Menu board area: Set the menu where people waiting to order can read it without leaning around the person at the window. Group dishes and prices clearly. Reserve room for changing specials rather than making the entire menu permanent wrap artwork.
- Service window: Put short order, pickup, or payment instructions beside the relevant opening. Check which areas the raised hatch covers. Keep the transaction details readable at close range without crowding the menu.
- Both side panels: Give the name and logo generous uninterrupted space. On the non-serving side, use the broad body area for identity and a short food description rather than duplicating a dense menu.
- Back doors: Repeat the identity and one practical next step. A short website or catering phone number is easier to retain than a long list of contact methods.
- Contact and social handle: Place a consistent social handle and phone or web address where a stationary guest can read them. Decide which contact method matters most and make it the easiest to find.
Doors, hinges, latches, vents, and wheel openings divide the artwork. Photograph each side straight on, then mark the usable areas. Open the service window and rear doors for a second set of reference photographs. A logo centered on a closed hatch can disappear during service.
How do you make graphics readable from the line?
Test the actual menu text from the farthest normal waiting position, with the truck arranged for service.
Use a clear reading order: category, dish, price, then any short explanation. Put the text on a calm background. Detailed food photography can work elsewhere on the truck, but a menu printed over a busy image forces people to separate the lettering from the picture.
Build a full-size paper test of a representative menu section. Place it where the menu will sit and step back to the end of the planned line. Test under the light expected during service. If a dish name is difficult to read, shorten the wording, increase its size, or remove competing decoration.
Do a separate check at the window. Customers close to the truck should see where to order and where to collect food without asking. Keep a scan code as an optional route to more information, with a written web address or readable menu available too.
Is partial or full coverage the better choice?
Choose partial coverage when the existing body color can support the design; choose broader coverage when the design needs a continuous background across more panels.
A partial layout can concentrate printing on the name, logo, a strong color area, and contact information. It leaves more original paint visible and can reduce the printed area. The truck still needs a coherent appearance when viewed from either side.
A full-coverage layout uses more film and needs a more complete measurement and seam plan. Openings, curves, and trim still interrupt it. A listed rectangular piece price cannot establish a whole-truck wrap total because the truck dimensions and required coverage have not been measured.
For the difference between printed material and a complete wrap project, read the truck wrap cost guide. Keep your installer's estimate separate from the print-only vinyl order.
Should you choose GF 830 or 3M IJ-180Cv3?
GF 830 AutoMark cast is the default wrap film, while 3M IJ-180Cv3 is the higher-priced cast film choice.
The wrap product offers both films, with gloss laminate used for the prices below. The product information describes 3M IJ-180Cv3 as suitable for vehicles, curves, and rivets. Ask your installer to review the truck's surface and shape before selecting the film; paying more does not resolve failing paint or an unsuitable surface.
Laminate protects the printed surface. The product also offers a matte laminate upgrade, but that is a different configuration from these gloss-laminated prices. Compare vinyl decal materials if the project includes separate smaller decals as well as wrap panels.
What do printed food truck wrap pieces cost?
One single-sided 24 x 36 in gloss-laminated wrap piece is $85.59 on GF 830 or $117.69 on 3M IJ-180Cv3.
Every row prices one piece at the ordered dimensions, including any bleed you need. These are material print prices, not installation or a complete food truck wrap quote. Artwork preparation, shipping, and applicable tax are separate.

How do you measure, add bleed, and plan seams?
Measure the widest and tallest points of each coverage area, then add 2 in per edge before ordering.
That adds 4 in to the measured width and 4 in to the height. A panel measuring 20 x 32 in needs a 24 x 36 in ordered piece. Follow curves with a flexible tape and tell the installer which edges need to tuck around the panel. Keep lettering away from handles and other interruptions.
Pieces wider than 52 in print as panels with a 1 in overlap. Send one artwork file per vehicle side rather than cutting the design into panel files yourself. The proof shows the seam positions, and the printed panels ship labeled in order. Review seams before approval so they do not run through a small word or important logo detail.
What should you confirm before ordering?
Confirm the coverage, installer, required clear areas, and production schedule before approving the print proof.
Health and fire requirements for anything mounted on a truck vary by city, county, and state. Check with your own health department and fire authority, plus the venue or event organizer and any applicable property or HOA rules. The FDA's state food-code directory and SBA licensing guidance help locate the relevant requirements. This is general information, not legal advice.
There is no production setup fee. Your supplied file or image goes through AI image to print for $14.99 per item. Design it for me is +$29.99 with two revisions, free when the item itself is $499 or more. The free digital proof follows the order; nothing prints until approved.
Printed wrap vinyl takes 3 business days in production. Weekday approval before 12 PM Central starts production the next business day; approval after noon or on a weekend counts from the next business day. Ground transit is about 3 business days, with flat $10 shipping per product. Arrange installation separately after allowing time for delivery and inspection.
Order printed wrap vinyl with your measured dimensions and film choice. The vinyl ships to you or your installer; this is a print-only purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Put a large name and logo on both sides, a readable menu near the queue, order and pickup information at the service window, and a short contact message on the rear doors. Check the design with doors and the service hatch open.
This product is print only. Inline Graphics ships the printed wrap vinyl to you or your wrap installer. Vehicle preparation, removal of old graphics, and installation must be arranged separately.
Add 2 in on every edge, which adds 4 in to the measured width and 4 in to the measured height. Include that bleed in the ordered size. A 20 x 32 in measured panel therefore needs a 24 x 36 in order.
Pieces wider than the 52 in roll print in panels with a 1 in overlap. The panels ship labeled in sequence, and the proof shows the seams. Send the side artwork together rather than splitting it yourself.
One single-sided 48 x 96 in piece with gloss laminate costs $374.49 on GF 830 AutoMark cast film or $545.69 on 3M IJ-180Cv3. Artwork preparation and flat $10 ground shipping per product are separate.
