What Should People Be Able to Read Before They Decide to Walk In?

Storefront window signage should show hours, an offer, what you sell, and the brand, at a size people can read from the sidewalk. A 24 x 36 inch perforated storefront graphic from Inline Graphics is $96.29 unlaminated. Production is 48 hours after proof approval, with flat $10 shipping to any US address.

Write each line so a person can use it without a second sentence. "Summer styles in the shop this week" is easier to act on than a single word like "New." Put the line they need first at eye level, on the door or the pane beside the handle, and make it the largest type on the glass.

Contrast does as much work as the words. Light type on a dark field, or dark type on a light field, stays readable in sun and in shade. On perforated film, keep the letters large. The print sits on the solid part of the film between the holes, and small strokes break up. The product page does not publish a minimum point size. If you have to squint at the proof, the sidewalk will not read it.

As a general practice, leave the street address, any required exit marking, and safety notices readable. Rules differ by city. This is not legal advice. If a pane has a notice that must stay visible, design around it instead of covering it.

Where Should the Sign Sit, and How Much Glass Should It Cover?

Place the words people must read at eye level, and cover a full pane when you still need to see through that pane. The product page does not publish a percentage of glass to cover. Measure the pane and match the film to that job.

Perforated storefront film is for a pane that should carry a picture and still let people inside look out. It fills that pane without turning it into a solid wall. Measure the glass inside the frame, width and height, and order that size or the closest listed pane. A piece larger than one width of film is printed as more than one panel, and the seam is placed on the proof, often along a frame or a line in the art. The page does not publish that film width, so do not assume a number. Tell us where the frames fall when you order.

A solid decal is for part of the glass: a logo, a line of lettering, the hours. It blocks the glass it covers, which is fine for a mark and wrong for a whole pane you need to see through. A cling is for the area you will change. Leave the door pull, the address, and any safety notice clear of all three.

Which Window Product Matches the Job?

Choose perforated film for full-pane graphics you still see out through, a window cling for messages that change, and adhesive decals for hours and logos. The storefront window graphics page is the perforated film. The rest of the stickers and decals collection holds the door lettering.

Perforated film shows full color from the sidewalk and a view out from inside, through the holes. Use it for a pane-sized picture, a sale that can live on the glass for a while, or a front that should not go dark. Add the laminate when that window gets cleaned often. The one-way vision window film cost guide goes further on see-through film pricing.

A window cling has no adhesive. It peels off and can go back on, which makes it the right piece for a seasonal swap, a holiday closure, or an offer with an end date. Sizes and piece prices are in the window cling size guide. A 24 x 36 inch static cling is $74.89, inside or outside mount, if you need one number beside the perforated prices below.

Store hours belong on a store hours decal. The page opens on a door set: a 12 x 18 inch hours decal plus a 12 x 12 inch logo decal on 3M IJ-35C, contour cut with gloss laminate, at $114.88. That vinyl is for flat glass and is rated for up to 5 years outdoors. The hours piece goes on the outside of the glass so it reads from the sidewalk. The default cut is contour, and contour cutting is a one-time $20 fee per design. The $114.88 door set total already includes contour cutting for both pieces, so do not add the fee again by hand. Day and time lines of 1 to 1.5 inches tall are the height that product is laid out for, with the heading larger. An 18 x 24 inch hours decal is on the page when the list is longer. Its price is separate from the $114.88 set.

A name or a logo on the door glass is a glass door decal. An 18 x 18 inch 3M IJ-35C glass door decal, contour cut with gloss laminate, opens at $84.19 (matte is the same price; no laminate costs less). Sizes run from 12 x 12 to 24 x 24 inches, or a custom size. The opening build is contour cut, and that $20 fee is once per design. Treat $84.19 as the opening total. It is lettering on part of the door, not a full-pane picture.

How Much Does Perforated Storefront Film Cost, Laminated or Not?

A 24 x 36 inch perforated graphic is $96.29 unlaminated and $106.99 laminated. Those are piece prices for one pane, not a rate you should multiply by hand. The page also lists an unlaminated rate of $13.38 per square foot. A listed size can price above a straight area calculation, so order from the table.

Pane Price
24 x 36 in, perforated film, no laminate $96.29
24 x 36 in, perforated film, laminated $106.99
36 x 48 in, perforated film, no laminate $171.19
36 x 48 in, perforated film, laminated $203.29
48 x 72 in, perforated film, no laminate $331.69
48 x 72 in, perforated film, laminated $395.89

Laminate is the clear layer that protects the print on a window that gets wiped or washed often, so pick it for any pane the crew cleans regularly. A custom size can be typed on the product page. Presets stop at 48 x 72 inches. The custom price is the area of what you measure, shown on the page, not a figure this article invents.

None of the six piece prices above is $499 or more. Design it for me is $29.99 on each of them. Flat $10 ground shipping to any US address is separate. The film is printed in the USA.

What Changes After Dark, and What Should the Proof Show?

During the day the sidewalk sees the print, and people inside still see the brighter street through the holes. After dark, with the interior lights on and the sidewalk dark, that reverses: people outside can see in through the holes, and the graphic looks faint. If nighttime privacy matters, light that window from outside or use a solid decal on the pane instead. Perforated film is not a tint, and we do not publish a heat or UV reduction number for it.

On the proof, check the measured size, whether you chose laminate, the seam if the pane is split, and the size of the type. Spell the hours, the offer, and the phone number as if a stranger will trust them. Small type that looks fine on a laptop will break up across the holes at pane size.

Production is 48 hours after you approve that proof. The free digital proof is sent after the order is placed, and the 48 hours do not include transit. There is no production setup fee on this film. A file or image you already have goes through AI image to print for $14.99 per item. Design it for me is $29.99 with two revisions, and it is free when the item itself is $499 or more, which these six pane prices are not.

We do not publish a count of extra visitors from a window graphic. A readable hour, a clear offer, and a film that matches the job are the parts we can actually print.

Hours, one current offer, what the business sells, and the brand. Put the line people need from the sidewalk in the largest type. A window that says everything at once is harder to read than a window that says one thing well.

Perforated film for a full pane you still need to see through. A window cling for a message you will swap. A store hours decal or a glass door decal for lettering that stays on part of the glass. Many storefronts use more than one.

A 12 x 18 inch 3M IJ-35C hours decal with a matching 12 x 12 inch logo decal with contour cut and gloss laminate is $114.88, and that total already includes contour cutting for both pieces. Production is 48 hours after proof approval.

During the day, yes, through the holes in the perforated film, while the sidewalk sees the print. After dark, with the lights on inside, people outside can see in through those holes and the graphic looks weaker.

No. We do not publish a foot-traffic number, and this page will not invent one. Clear hours, a readable offer, and a product matched to the job are what the window can honestly do.
