The price is the printed flag and the hem you pick. The opening hem is Hem w/ Grommet Strip - Left. The other three finishes on the menu are Hem w/ Grommet Strip - Top, Hem Only (No Grommets), and Custom Pole Pocket. At 2 x 3 ft each of those four finishes is $96.29.

The grommet strip is a reinforced band with brass rings, which is what a halyard clip grabs. A pole pocket is a sleeve that slides over a pole that does not use clips. Pick the finish for the hardware you already have, or for the optional pole on this page.

Single sided print thru is the opening graphic. The ink passes through the open weave, so the back of the flag is a softer mirror of the front. That mirror is enough when the flag hangs against a wall and only one face is visible. Double sided is a second, readable face. Use it when people walk or drive past both sides.

Which Pole Flag Size Should I Order?

Match the preset to the pole and to how far away the reader stands. The printed sizes are exact: 24 x 36 inches, 36 x 60 inches, 48 x 72 inches, and 60 x 96 inches.

A 2 x 3 ft flag is the house flag. It reads from the sidewalk at a door. A bakery that hangs one flag beside the entrance, with the name in the middle of the cloth, is in this size. The optional 74.5 inch spinner pole is longer than the 36 inch fly, so the flag sits with room on the pole.

A 3 x 5 ft flag is the size most outdoor poles are built around. The fly is 60 inches. The 74.5 inch optional pole is still longer than the flag. From across a small lot, a short name in large type is what resolves. A paragraph does not.

A 4 x 6 ft flag prints at 48 x 72 inches. The fly is 72 inches and the optional pole is 74.5 inches, so they are close. If you already own a taller outdoor pole, order the flag alone and keep the left grommet strip so the halyard clips have a ring to grab.

A 5 x 8 ft flag prints at 60 x 96 inches. The fly is 96 inches, which is longer than the 74.5 inch optional pole. Order this size for a pole you already own that is tall enough for a 5 x 8. The optional pole on this page is one length for every preset. Compare that length to the fly before you add it.

How Much Does the Optional Pole and Bracket Cost?

On a 2 x 3 ft single sided flag, Pole Only is $106.99 and Pole w/ Bracket is $128.39, against $96.29 for the flag with no pole. The pole choices are No, Pole Only, and Pole w/ Bracket. No is the opening choice, and it is the flag column in the table. Pole Only adds the spinner pole. Pole w/ Bracket adds that pole and a wall bracket that mounts level or angled upward.

Double sided with the pole is $128.39, and double sided with the pole and bracket is $139.09. Those last two are the combined upgrades at the size the page opens on.

The bracket is the piece in the storefront photo: a silver arm on the wall, the flag flying out over the walk. It is the right hardware for a house flag. It is the wrong hardware for a tall outdoor pole that already has a halyard. If the pole is already in the ground, leave the upgrade off and order the flag with the left grommet strip.

Double sided plus a pole is its own total, because both upgrades are on the flag at once. At 3 x 5 ft that order is $224.69 with the pole and $235.39 with the pole and bracket. What Do We Catch on Custom Pole Flag Proofs?

The miss we send back most often is type inside the hem. The white grommet band is sewn. A phone number or a thin rule that runs into that band comes back stitched into the hem, and the reader never sees it. Keep the name, the number, and any QR code in the open cloth, clear of the hoist edge.

The second miss is a phone number on a single sided flag that someone expects to read from the back. Print thru mirrors the art. "555" still looks like digits. A word does not. If the flag will be seen from the sidewalk and from the street, order double sided and proof both faces.

The third is a file built for the wrong preset. A 3 x 5 design dropped onto a 2 x 3 order crops the top and bottom. Build the file to the printed size of the preset you are buying, 24 x 36, 36 x 60, 48 x 72, or 60 x 96 inches, and put the important type in the middle. We still send a proof, and the proof is the time to catch a crop, not after the flag is sewn.
